UPDATED Will my conference registration be refunded?
You will automatically receive a credit coupon code on your SOMSA.org account unless you specifically request a refund by completing this form by 5/22/20.

UPDATE 4/8/20: Due to system limitations, we will be issuing a coupon code to each attendee who has not opted for a refund, rather than putting a credit on your account. The coupon code will be in the amount of your conference registration. This coupon is good for your next conference registration and is unique to each attendee. If you prefer a refund over a credit in the form of a coupon, you may complete the refund request form before May 22, 2020. After that time, we will no longer refund your conference fees.

UPDATED I received a coupon code, but would like to receive a refund. What should I do?
Please complete the refund request form before May 22, 2020. After May 22, 2020, we will no longer refund your conference fees. Once a week, Linden will process new refund requests and void corresponding coupon codes.

NEWWhen will I receive my credit?
We will begin sending out coupon codes to each conference registrant via email starting Monday, April 13, 2020. Please save this email so you will have the coupon code for next year’s conference registration.

UPDATED How do I request a refund on my conference registration?
If you choose to receive a refund instead of an automatic credit on your SOMSA account, you must complete this form by May 22, 2020. Once a week, Linden will process new refund requests and void corresponding coupon codes.

UPDATED How long will it take to see my credit or refund?
You will receive an email with a coupon code (the form of credit we are offering) starting Monday, April 13, 2020. Linden is processing new refund requests once a week, and these typically take 5-7 business days to post to your account.

UPDATED How do I cancel my hotel reservation?
When our event is cancelled in the hotel’s system,

  • It will automatically cancel the reservations of everyone in our block
  • Anyone with an email address on file will receive a cancellation notice
  • Even if you did not have have an email address on file with the hotel, your reservation will still be cancelled
  • There is no need to call to check or call to cancel if the reservation was made through our group. Another group overloaded Hyatt’s phone system yesterday calling to cancel, when that is unnecessary

VENDORS

Will sponsors/exhibitors receive a refund?
Exhibitors will receive a credit towards 2021. The 2021 conference will be 4/18/21 through 4/21/21. We will announce the location to all sponsors, attendees and speakers in the days to come.

If my sponsor level included eBlasts, or if I purchased them separately, will those still go out?
Yes! Be sure to send them to Nicole at sponsors@somsa.org.

SOMSA is continuing to evaluate educational outlets to benefit both our speakers and our attendees and members. We will be in contact with each of you in the coming days.
