Considering the latest information and expert analysis, we have decided at this time to cancel the 2020 SOMSA Conference in Scottsdale.

Based on the CDC’s guidance that events larger than 50 should not meet in the next 8 weeks, the health and well-being of everyone associated with our SOMSA community has led us to this decision.

We recognize this decision will affect many people. Your patience as we make every effort to communicate effectively and efficiently is appreciated, and we will share any additional information as soon as it becomes available. Please check our FAQs if you have any questions. Major updates will also be posted to SOMSA.org as well as email and social media communication.

As COVID-19 continues to impact the lives of people everywhere, we seek your understanding of this decision and know you share our concern given these trying times. Thank you for your faithful support.

We have created a special COVID-19 Crisis in the OMS Practice forum specifically for our members to discuss how you are reacting to the COVID-19 pandemic in your practices and a place to virtually seek support from your peers as the wide-sweeping effects of this crisis impact all areas of our lives. Please post your virus-related questions here (login required).

We will be in touch with you very soon as we finalize our plans and navigate these uncharted waters for all of us.

Sincerely,
Lynn Howard, President
